Apparel reviews of Victorinox Architecture? 2.0 Collection San Marco - LeatherCustomer Review: Can I give it a 4 1/2? It's that good. Rating: 4 Stars
I'm not one to write a ton of reviews, but this is one beautiful case.
I usually purchase Italian or American made leather products, but this
Chinese-made case has incredible workmanship. I know it's designed by Victorinox
of Switzerland, but it's a lot of money for a Chinese-made product.
I have to say, though, it's amazingly well made. It may be a bit more "manufactured"
than handmade Italian leather, but it's super high quality, and made with precision.
Still, for a few more dollars, you can have a laptop case made of Italian leather.
So, what sold me on Victorinox as my choice? The WHEELS! The wheels on this thing are
wonderful. Unlike with most cases, this case won't outlast the wheels or the wheel mechanism.
I mean, who cares how nice the case is if the wheels break? Sure, you can replace the wheels,
but what a drag. However, I should mention that the wheels on this case SCREW off and on...
They're not removed by having to pop little clips off. Even though they're incredibly well-made,
the wheels on this case were MADE to be replaced. The whole wheel mechanism is extremely solid and well-made.
The handle, while not as incredibly robust as the wheels, is very well made with all-metal parts, and
its rubber grip is exceptionally comfortable.
It's compact, but it's very well designed, and you can fit a surprising ammount of stuff in it.
Time will tell, but, all-in-all, I think this is an excellent case.
***I should mention that, other than the lining, EVERYTHING is leather. Just like the Italian cases.
No plastic piping. No plastic interior parts (they're all leather). The quality of the leather is a
tick below the best Italian leather, for sure, but it's very high quality.
